Apex Legends is one of the latest battle royale games on the market and certainly one of the best. What really makes it stand out is the fact that it comes with a class based, hero focused shooting experience. You have a team of 3 characters and you will have to do everything in your power to battle 19 other teams as you try to become the best and win the game.
At first you will have no weapons, so your focus will be to go on the island and explore it while also getting the best loot that you can. You have to keep in mind that everyone does the same thing. And to make things a bit more challenging, the livable area on the map is smaller and smaller since a large circle will constrict until only one more team is left.
Since you are playing with the team, constant communication is very important here. You will need to stick together and try to play the best that you can if you really want to win. The game itself is very intense, full of creative options and the uniqueness of the experience is what really pushes it to the next level.
The heroes are also very different. Lifeline is focused on healing, Bloodhound is more of a hunter, Wraith is a time manipulator and so on. Each one of them have a special ability and an ultimate too. And to make things even better, new characters are added regularly, either via the battle pass launch or any other event. All characters can be unlocked with the ingame currency, although you can pay with real money for an instant unlock.
Apex Legends has microtransactions, but they are fair, since they only focus on cosmetics. There is a battle pass system too, but again, you receive some brief XP boosts and new cosmetics, which is pretty exciting and fun to be honest.
When it comes to the gameplay itself, Apex Legends is very good and it constantly strives to become better and better. It’s a very immersive experience, the game runs really well and the world is a blast to go through. There’s a lot of variation when it comes to the locations, and the gun play feels amazing.
Thankfully you have lots of different weapons and all kinds of cool stuff to make this unique and different. It’s not the simplest game type that you can find out there, but it’s totally something you want to check out all the time just because it stands out in a unique manner.x
Apex Legends receives new upgrades all the time, new game modes and cosmetics, so it’s a blast to play. And if you are very passionate about this type of game, you do want to check it out and give it a try. Yes, it’s different, but at the same time it retains the core of the Titanfall experience when it comes to balanced gameplay. That works great in a battle royale element, hence the innovation!
