The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is a remake of the game with the same name from 1993. This remake retains the top down perspective of that game and its gameplay is intact too. But they are adding in some elements from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX that was released in 1998. They are bringing in a retro modern art style and some beautiful toy-like designs. They are also coming up with tilt shift visuals and the diorama like world.

Aside from that, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening also has customizable dungeons that you can create and then compete in to get rewards. It really pushes the boundaries when it comes to the experience and in the end that can pay off immensely if you do it wisely.

It’s nice that the remake doesn’t focus on changing the story. While they are adding stuff, they are doing that mostly in the gameplay and visual sector. So we have the same open world experience with a comprehensive and fun story where we follow link as he tries to figure out where he is stranded. The quest to collect the eight instruments of the sirens is very interesting and the game is full of puzzles and cool boss fights which is quite exciting and interesting at the same time.

You can also jump over obstacles and you can enjoy platforming elements, which is a cool thing to have in a game like this one. The title also has some beautiful graphics, which adds up a lot when compared to the previous game. They also did a very good job with the fact that you have a higher hearts capacity. You can even carry a fairy bottle too. And to make things even better, the minigames have realistic physics too. That might not seem like a lot, but it definitely gets more and more important as you go along. That’s the type of thing that matters in a remake, to offer something even better than the original experience. As long as you do that you will be just fine and you will enjoy the process more than ever before.

Having Amiibo support is pretty much guaranteed, considering what the previous Zelda did in regards to the Amiibo sales. We also like the fact that the game allows you to complete in dungeons in a time attack mode. Even if you get bored of the regular gameplay there’s still a lot of content to peruse and little things like these are making the process so much better and more convenient than ever before.

Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is set to be a great remake and one of the coolest ways for us to get back into the series while we wait for the next installment. The upgraded visuals are exciting, and the fact that they are not changing the story in any way is very cool. Adding in some new bits and pieces and enhancing the lifetime of the game with some new upgrades and features is really nice, and a great testament to what The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening can do!
